With over a decade of experience in capacity development (CD), I have worked extensively in strengthening institutional systems and disaster preparedness across diverse global contexts. My journey began in 2011 in Ethiopia, where I guided multiple government departments as they designed and implemented a commodity tracking system.

While working as the Emergency Preparedness and Response Lead for WFP Indonesia, I spearheaded capacity development efforts with the National Disaster Management Agency, contributing to the establishment of a permanent national humanitarian logistics sector. From 2019 to 2023, I played a key role in the Logistics Cluster’s Field-Based Preparedness Project, successfully advocating for a shift from training-based interventions to sustainable, long-term capacity development approaches. My work included developing tailored guidance, enhancing internal capacity-building efforts, and authoring the Preparedness Enabler’s Guide, a widely used resource in humanitarian logistics preparedness.

I specialise in integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on implementation, navigating the challenges of institutional capacity strengthening, and supporting governments and organisations in enhancing their systems.

My approach emphasises outcome sustainability, impact-driven strategies, and supporting national actors as they take ownership of their development pathways.
